Hat is a director, animator and illustrator.
Her films have won multiple international awards, and have been screened across the globe.
She specialises in traditional,
hand-drawn animation and documentary film, with a particular interest in sound design and editing, as well as experimental filmmaking techniques.
She has delivered talks about her work at various schools, universities and film festivals including the BAFTA qualifying Aesthetica Film Festival and London International Animation Festival.
Much of Hat's work focuses on social justice and mental health issues, with importance placed on spreading awareness and promoting understanding of various conditions such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Having previously worked as an Artist in Residence at Downside Abbey in Bath, Hat has taught fine art, graphic design and illustration.
She is currently a Lecturer in Animation at the University for the Creative Arts, based in Farnham, where she lives
with her dog, Walter.
